Default LS3 Throttle Body knock off's

has anyone used any of those throttle bodies like Black horse racing or Sharps Custom? They sell the "Boosted LS3 throttle bodies" on ebay. I need to buy another throttle body and the oem prices have gone up.

I am really good friends with the owner of SQC Tuning, his name is Eric Dotson. He does hundreds of GM vehicles a year, built on all kinds of budgets. I help him with builds, tunes, strapping to the dyno, street tuning; you name it. We hang out a lot

More than once Ive seen him struggle with getting knock off TBs to work under boost, or close properly/idle properly or send vehicles into reduced power mode. More than one has had stripped gears too, and that led to some interesting driving issues

Mine still gets sucked shut occasionally, I was looking at theses boosted ls3, rep mode is not fun. I was hoping the boosted ones were ok but it looks like the OEM TB stays...

Awesome information all around. I am most likely getting a factory one or a Katech ported.

I also wanted to get a discussion going about those knock off ones.. especially the "boosted" ones. I see more and more of then flooding the internet. Hopefully get the word out there to stay away.

Not going to lie, was kind of hoping the boosted ones were worth a shot. Lol save me some money on this build. Building a Dart 427 turbo setup with monster heads this time around for my truck. Can't wait
