Matt, the FAST 90/90, do you know if that was v. a regular truck manifold?
well since the LM7 5.3, LQ4/9 6.0,LR8 4.8 intake outflows the LS1 intake, but not the LS6 intake, I cant see the LS2 intake being any better than the truck intake.
The LS6 intake on an LS2 engine shows gains.

Yes, but that is the CAR LS2 intake, I am talking about the TRUCK LS2 intake, used on Trailblazer SSs and '05 and up SSRs, which no one has tried out yet. The truck LS2 intake is still the raised runner design, similar to the LM7, LQ4, LQ9, and LR4, but has a 90mm TB, which reportedly necks down to 78mm inside the intake. I have not been able to confirm this yet. If it's true, this swap may very well be worthless, but if it stays 90mm inside, then it might be helpful to big cube guys.

If it worked out, it would be nice to know that there's an intake upgrade for us truck guys that doesn't involve moving all of the accessories for clearance. Especially in a few years when the truck LS2 intake will be more readily available and cheaper to pick up...every little hp helps IMO

It looks like this swap would be much easier for the cable TB guys as there is a much bigger selection of TBs.

I may have to pick one of these up and do some test fitting.

Sorry it took so long to reply to this thread. I was watching where it was going before I jumped in. I know of a few that have the take off intake from the LS2 SSR as I am selling the MagnaChargers to them. I can see if any of them want to sell their old setup for a similar price as I sold mine. Below is the e-bay listing of my intake. The intake would look great if you shaved the outside of it of all the brackets and painted it. The upper plenum is huge as compared to the LS1/6 Intake and it didn't neck down inside.

I bought the one you are talking about & I'm willing to sell it. I had plans to use it in my 37 ford but have decided against it. I paid $275.00 + shipping .... sell it for $275.00 + shipping

Let me know if you are interested?
