Default ls2 throttle body?

I was wondering, isnt the ls2 throttle body 90mm? If so I had an idea to try to get it to work on my truck because it is definitley chocked by the stock tb which I ported. Due to my recent head work Im sure this thing has become even more of a restriction. Does anyone have close up pics of the tb and the drive by wire connectors? my truck is drive by wire and I wanna see if gm changed around anything. I def am not spending $350 on an 80mm bbk which really isnt that much bigger than stock, when I could have a brand new gm ls2 tb for $250 or even a used one for cheaper. Thanks in advance

You will need the right tac module to run a 90mm TB as well as the conversion harness from Speartech. I have it on mine and love it.

I know of a really good deal on LS2 car style DBW throttle bodies... but its on another forum...

Lets see...

Speartech or WCCH have the conversion harness ($50-$60) and here's the

TAC Module (GM #125742210)- should be about $150-160 for that. I forget now what year had that one... you might already have it. Check to be sure!

The TB's are available from several places but I'd recommend not getting it from the dealer. A ported TB is really nice option.

PM sent on the other forum info...

With that TAC module part number Im not getting anything entering it on gmpartsdirect.com or partszoneonline.com which are both gm websites. I put it in their search features hoping to come up with a list of vehicles it fits.

Hmm... I looked up the pic on my website and see that the number on mine is 12574221. Looks like that zero above was extra.

BTW... There are several threads in the Forced induction section about this upgrade/conversion. Might do to take a look there as well.
