Hey, just snowballin Idea's here. Lookin into a LS2 GTO and 6 Speed swap. Im doing the t-56 regardless, and aware of all the conversion parts needed to do so.
With the LS2, which intake manifold should i run? Im cable driven, and can upgrade to a 90mm TB if needed...
There is also some info about reluctor wheel or something?
Which wiring harness so I use?pcm?
Any info would be great, or maybe even any members who has done it before...
thanks alot guys

ls2 motors have a reluctor wheel on the cam for the cam sensor instead of the whatever it is on out motors so it will have to have a different type of cam.
why not just build a 6.0 out of a truck to go in it for less and a direct swap with no worries

You'll have to get a conversion box for the crank signal and extend the wires for the cam sensor to the front cover. The knock sensors might be in a different spot too but I cant recall.
IIRC Speartech sells all the harnesses to put a gen IV engine into a gen III vehicle.

Yah I see lingefelter has a reluctor wheel module...so its jsut a matter of moving some stuff away.
Reason why im not going Truck 6.O is the car one has more HP, and I can buy a Motor and trans together(T-56) out of a GTO as a package. $$ is not the concern, If im goign to motor swap Im gonna get it right the first time

Thats the lingenfelter module...That should convert it to 28x Crank
The Speartech ones are nice, but i dont need a complete new harness

Called John at Speartech, and he said That the GTO LS2's have a 24x Reluctor in them so I dont need a module, simply jsut extend the Knock and Cam sensor wires and he even has extender wires for that!

Next order of Business...
I know i could switch my truck intake manifold and TB over to the LS2, but is that the best setup? I will be running heads and Cams in this LS2....? Or is the ls6 and 90mm TB a best bet?

If money isnt an issue get a fast 92 manifold and TB. Its a proven set up and it works. If your get n the complete engine then use the set up its coming with. I believe it was speartech who swapped in a LS2 but with a 6L80 into a RCSB but i could be wrong. I remember it being white, try a search. Are you saying you are runng a heads and cam package? couldnt really tell by the way you said it.
