no, youll just use your flexplate off of your motor that you have in your truck now instead of the flywheel off of the manual

just buy a longblock LS1... it will come with everything you will need to do the swap... everything else you will be able to use over from your motor in yoru truck now... this is off the top of my head

-air intake setup, and throttle body
-dipstick tube (i broke mine so it might be good to have one handy just incase)
-intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, coils yada yada
-wiring harness
-all the ac stuff (there was one bolt we ended up not using for the bracket that bolts onto the block becasue there was no bolt whole on the LS1 block for it)
-oil pan, windage tray, pickup tube
-knock sensors and that plate that covers the valley
-crank sensor on the side of the block, starter
-water pump (gaskets are reuseable but recommend buying 2 new ones, there not that much)
-motor mounts
-exhaust manifolds & gaskets
-valve covers
-timing chain cover
-all gaskets are reuseable except head gaskets, shouldnt have to deal with those anyways though
-flex plate and back motor cover

-you will need to buy a new crank bolt cause there not reuseable

if there is something i am missing someone please feel free to chime in

don't forget to "upgrade" your speedo cluster cause you'll be clocking over 100mph at some point in the near future I'm sure ! like at the big end of the 1320'

Unfortunately, there are no 1320s within 100 miles. Thanks for the knowledge.

I would like to know if you noticed any difference in handling of the truck (stopping, cornering, ride quality) sice you probably dropped a few hundred pounds from going to aluminum block. The reason I ask is because I am thinking of using a ls1 instead of an 6.0 iron block in my project car to get the wieght distribution better front to back. Thanks in advance.
