Default LS1edit users ?

Trying to make a 6.0 with cam and headers idle. I don't have LS1edit but curious how you do this with it? Is it done by increasing air flow thru the IAC (Idle Air Control)valve?

prety sure most bigger cams need a higher idle. that may be all you need. a really lumpy cam may set false missfire codes too and with edit you can shut that test off. there may be other things to do also but those are the only 2 i am sure of.

A combination of IAC and idle speed will help you make it idle. Some people will say that in addition to changing your IAC and idle speed you will benefit from editing the VE table in the idle rpm ranges -- I haven't tested that since I have had no problems making the cam you have idle in a 5.3 and then in a 5.7. I upped my IAC and idle speed -- no throttle body hole drilling.

hohl, thanks for the reply. You lost me when you say "IAC and idle speed". I thought regulating air thru the IAC is what makes idle speed go up or down. Is there another function I'm missing here?

The Volumetric Efficiency table does work! If you hunt at startup because of a cam that has low lsa, try changing the VE table. It worked awesome on my truck.
