My father's 2000 GMC is experiencing a sticking throttle off idle. I'm aware of the GM technical service bulletin. He's 1,500 miles out of warranty, but since it's been doing it for a while, we're hoping that the dealer will honor it. If not, if we can't fix it ourselves we're going to be needing a throttle body. Since there's a ton of LS1 guys replacing theirs with aftermarket stuff, I was hoping to pick one up cheaply, but obviously if it doesn't fit, I can't do that. If somebody knows whether they interchange or not, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Nice website by the way.

Did you try cleaning it? It would still probably stick but not as bad maybe. To answer the question I believe they are the exact same, but maybe someone can reply that knows for sure. Welcome to the site.

I haven't tried cleaning it yet. Right now I'm just trying to cover all of my bases incase GM doesn't warranty it. We'll definately clean and inspect it first, but I want to know as much about them and what interchanges ahead of time.

I'll try to check my car and truck tomorrow before I leave to see if they have the same TB.
The TB on my 2000 GMC is sticking also and I've cleaned the hell out of it. It stopped sticking for a while after I cleaned it but, now it's right back to sticking again.
If it's just a tight throttle blade it wouldn't be hard to just take it out and sand the edges down just a tiny bit. I might try that with mine.

PS - If there is a TSB on something GM should fix it whether the vehicle is under warranty still or not.

A quick fix is just to give the idle stop screw a little turn, it takes a small alen wrench. You'll most likely not notice any differance in driveability ather than the throttle blade dosent bind up in the bore any more (espesialy(sp) on a cold start) ... see after a while the idle stop tab bends a little from normal use, this results in the blade closing too far within the bore and sticking.
