Default LS1 swap is underway

the swap from a 2001 4.3L V6 to a 2001 5.7 LS1 in a reg cab silverado is underway! :head: Wicked Speed Motorsports, www.wickedspeed.com , is doing the change..

As you can see, the V6 has been pulled. Since the pic, the bay has been cleaned out alot more and is ready for the ls1 to be stabbed. The LS! is going in with full car acessories, instead of the truck accessories, to retain the look of the engine as well.

Congrats! You'll be very happy with the results. Anything getting done to the engine before you drop it in, or is it going to stay stock? If you have any extra cash, I'd at least throw a cam and some valvesprings in the mix.

right now, it's going in basically stock...just exhaust, headers, and tune. i just want to get past the big hump of putting it in and running. As most can figure...swapping from a vortech 4.3L to a LS based 5.7 is not a straight swap job.
