the predator is much better than the hpp3 ever thought of being.i have had a hpp3 and this thing blows it away.as for which one you are going to be on your own.ls1 edit being by far the better of them and with a price and a lotta time needed to tune it.ls1 edit is also the most versital.the predator is a tool that is for the in between type person.you can get custom tunes or leave it alone.but remember that you pcm is a computer.it can crash if something is not right.probably the main reason most people are not going to tell you which one is because if something were to happen then all we would hear is how we steered you wrong.everyone here is always willing to help but when it comes to programming every ones truck reacts differently.good luck.oh,my predator rocks.

 

TG02Z71, 02denali is right, predator is better than hppIII if you are in the middle somewhere, and edit being the better for the people at the top of the list. as for which one to go with, that to me would depend on how far you want to take your truck. good luck on which one you choose to go with.

 

Thanks for the feed back guys. Just so you know I'm asking questions to get educated from the people who have these things. I will base my decision somewhat on what I hear and see. Never will I blame anyone for something I have ultimately chosen, this is one person who takes responsobility for his own actions. Never blame the other guy is my motto. just so ya know, people have lost their pcm with edit too. from what i understand if you loose your conection mid program you will probably make your pcm unuseable. by loose conection i am talking a loose cable or a laptop batery dieing or even a screen saver or batery saver poping up.

like everyone else, ls1edit for in depth projects but alot harder to use, predator for your "power tune" kind of thing.
