Z06 cam is good if you are planning on F/I. Otherwise it's a little small and not worth the time to put it in IMO. For N/A I would look into the area of a 212/218 up to 224/224. Also about any cam worth putting in will benefit from a stall of at least 3000 rpm.

Thats a big pain in the *** to swap out cams, If know your going FI just go with the Z06 cam you will still see some gains. Not worth it to waste money on a 224 if your gonna take it out in a year IMO

No problem, you can find used Z06 cams on LS1tech all the time. 02+ were a little better

On my 4.8 i went with the z06 cam and 3 months later swapped it out for a 222/222 comp cams. It's a good cam but i got the comp cams for cheap so went ahead and did it.

how much better is the z06 cam then the comp cam? i figured the comp cams would be good for FI and N/A, but is the z06 cam that much better for FI?

Depends on the cam from comp, the z06 is just a good cheap cam that will give good gains with F.I. if money is no object get a custom grind comp that fits you needs the best.
