Default LS1 MSD wires???

I took my truck to my dyno guy and he said we should try using LS1 msd wires to solve the problem of the burning plug wire with the OBX headers. He said the MSD boots that go on the spark plugs could be bent? I know the ls1 msd's are about an inch shorter, will they fit? Thanks!

They should, I would try one before I bought some, can't you pull them out of the way with a homade bracket, or wire ties??/ be alot cheaper then new wires

I have the zip ties and my wire is almost already burned through. With 146k it would probably be a good idea to get new wires anyways.

I had the same problem. I called taylor and had a custom set made with 45 degree angle on the boot. They are the taylor thundervolt 50. They work great part tay-misc944 from summit

I've got the MSD Superconductors and TOG's. I was able to bend and rotate the boots to provide plenty of clearance. They've been on for at least 4 years now and there's no burning of the wires at all.

I've tried every possible way to ziptie the wire away from the primary and it doesnt get enough clearance. Plus zipties are cheesy and will eventually break.
