LS1tech.com, the For Sale Forum is a great place to start.
LS2 swaps are slightly different as you need to relocate the cam position sensor plug to the front of the engine, the knock sensors aren't in the valley like they are with the LS1. They can be a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The LS2 is 400 HP, LS1 is around 350 (depends on setup). Both are aluminum blocks, so you get a bit of weight savings.
I'd find yourself a good LS1, do a good set of heads and a cam upgrade along with some headers. With 2WD, you could see around 400 at the wheels depending on your setup. It's not that far a deviation from an LS1 car powertrain-wise. You just want to make sure you don't give up too much torque in lieu of horsepower as you are hauling that extended cab. That MS3 that Beastmode would be an example of something that's a little big for a truck (in my opinion), but with a RCSB he can get away with it.
Keep in mind when I mention a heads and cam upgrade, I'm leaving out some parts you want to upgrade (timing chain, pushrods, maybe the rocker arms but you can have Harlan Sharp convert them to a sealed bearing setup).

id put a post in the classifieds that your lookin for a trailblazer stall or look through cause they ahve em all the time in there... also look on LS1 tech in there classifieds to, youll see em going through there every once and awhile

yes this is very true even in an rcsb if you dont have the proper stall (3800-4200). thats why i actually pulled that cam and swapped it for a TR224 on this site (Slowprocess is who i swapped with)

to be honest with you, im still waiting on the cam lol. jeremy had trouble gettin his out plus i still have to buy some things, i dont actually even have the LS1 in my truck yet
