i think injector placement -as far as the amount they stick into the manifold is kind of critical.

an inch and a half!! something is definately wrong. i only had to install small spacers that were only like 5/8ths of an inch. and do not enlarge the hole. they will fit, something else is wrong. this is what i had to work with. stock on left, racetronix 57's on the right.

also the bolt holes for the fuel rails are slightly different, one hole lines up perfect, the other is off about 3/4 of an inch.

stock fuel rail for now. you will have to bend (slightly and carefully) the crossover tube. look at my prior post edited for pics of my injectors. are yours similar? oh yea, you will have to enlarge/modify the hole in one direction to acomodate the new injectors. the longer injectors will make the rails move, one to the rear and one to the front. i just used an appropriate sized drill bit to enlongate the hole.

also my rc 42# injectors look just like that stock injector,, by the looks of your 57#rs, they are alot taller, and have a smaller tip. thats why yours fit, and you only have 5/8s of a gap.

do you see where the taper is at the bottom of the injector? that is where it should seat in the intake. the top will sit flush against the fuel rail and should (mine did) use the original retiner clip.
