ls1 intake??

Default ls1 intake??

I am goign ot be adding awhipple to my truck hopefully within the next month or so..

Is there any gain to switching to a ls1 or ls6 intake

I would stick with the truck intake, I dont know if there would be any benefits with the swap. Might lose lowend too. I would clean up your heads or a good dyno tune for that money.

LS1 intake is like 50-100 dollars

I think the money can be spent better elsewhere. Heads would be more but you would see some real gains with the cam and blower. Dyno tune can never hurt either. Both are more expensive but i would save for that stuff instead.

There are advantages its just if they are great enough for you to mess with and they probably arent in your case. First off IMO they look alot better. There are more ready available LS1 injectors than for the truck but thats not a real big deal. Since you have a "truck motor" I would say screw it unless you just hate the way the truck intake looks(which I do!)

Tiger, were you able to get your Speartech bracket for the swap? John had to order a new batch and he still hasn't gotten them in yet.

To be honest with you I still havent ordered it becuause I had to get a Eaton butt hanks for reminding me. When are they supposed to be in??? Illt ell you 2 more place that have them if you were in bad need. I think Nasty has them and Street & Performance. What are you doing? LS1 intake I assume?

the truck intake is a few inches taller, to raise the throttle body and intake tube above the radiator....

Tiger, LS6. I already placed my order with Speartech. Too bad because I thought they were the only coming selling these brackets.
