Ryan, it's JB, I've been reading up on this swap and I'm about to swap to a FAST LSx intake, so when I get my water pump and get the swap done I'll have more insight, I don't think its hard just a little time consuming. I've already got my alt. bracket cut and painted and the pulley bolt to relocate it, as far as water pumps go, I've heard that an '08-up truck will work, but I'm goin with an f'body style and using spacers and longer bolts, PM me if you need some help, I'd be glad to help you out

While it's not 100% necessary, beings you can relocate the idler pulley without any buying extra parts, Area 51 has a nice billet relocation bracket available if you just feel the need to purchase something and it does sorta look cool.

If you're going to swap on a LS1 intake, at least do a LS6 intake so you don't lose anything and even out at least. The last comparo that I saw of the truck, LS1, and LS6 intake revealed that the truck intake actually was a better performer than the LS1...just my .02

what about fuel rails which ones would i need?
-budhayes ive read about the ls6 intake and im finding ls1 intakes all day for 100 bucks versus ls6 300. and ive read many places that the ls6 isnt really worth it. like i said im not doing this for performance im doing it for looks. im sure on a track you would be able to tell the difference but day to day daily driving i dont think so. basically unless a damn good deal comes along the ls6 is outta the question. thanks for the advice though.

i think i need to run the 97 vette return rails but im not 100 percent sure? also i wanna do gto rail covers instead of vette. do they go on the same as vette? putting on rail covers, does anything need to be done with valve covers and ign. coils?
