Default Ls1 injectors in 03 4.8 intake

I've done every possible search combination of "ls1" and "injector" and can't find what I need.

I plan to run ls1 injectors (28#) in my stock truck intake. I know I need to either run the adapter or cut and solder the right pig tails. That's fine, pretty easy. What I need to know is, do the ls1 style injectors physically fit into the rail/intake with the stock ls1 orings? And are they the same height? Will I need to fab a bracket? Buy different orings? If this idea is more of a pain in the *** then swapping to the ls6 intake, then hell, I'll just do that instead.

When using HP tuner, what is the maximum hp rating of the stock truck injectors? I believe mine are 23.5#

Thanks for all the help lately. This site has been very helpful, as I draw closer to swap time

no you need to rise your fuel rail to make it work with LS1 injectors because they taller

flex fuel injectors or 8.1 are easy to do with out any extra work on wires or fuel rail if i not mistaken ,

flex injectors set above 28# i think and 8.1 above 40# i am not sure but those numbers close

How the stock injectors will perform is also dependent on the fuel pump. If you get an aftermarket pump like the AEM 320lph you could go to about 375hp on the stock injectors. With a stock pump I wouldn't push it past 325. TBSS injectors are 33lbs drop in easy and only need adapters for the harness. They are cheap and with a good fuel pump can hit 500hp I bet or 400+ with a stock pump. It also depends on if you are planning on boost or spray.

I have stock "01 6.0 injectors. I am not sure they will or won't fit any better. I would sell them cheap so p.m. me if you are interested.

If someone could confirm that they would fit his application with no adjusting of the fuel rail that would be helpful.

That would be cool, if they fit.

It sounds more and more like this tbss upgrade isn't a bad idea. Maybe someone would like to do a swap for my ls6 intake and injectors and tb...... Plus a little cash?

Can the truck fuel rail be modified with a spacer and bracket to accept the taller ls1 injectors?

I'd prefer to use what I already have.

Typically you can get spacers for both the injectors and for the hold downs. The only person I can remember using them is Atomic. PM him and maybe he can let you know where he got his spacers.
