Default LS1 hot cam kit

How would the LS1 Hot Cam Kit work on my friends chevy 03' RCSB 2WD? He took away the 5.3 and got an LS1 in. My ?'s are would he need aftermarket pushrods and if that cam would be a good daily driver?

The HotCam is't the best choice IMHO......there are ALOT of better cams out there

Erm.....neither

Look at a Comp 212/218 or one of the VHP cams......the 043, 044, and 047 from VHP are all REALLY great truck cams that will make ALOT more power than either the HotCam or the LS6 cam

but if you HAVE to choose between the HotCam and the 02+ LS6....go with the LS6 cam, it'll pass smog easier and won't be as hard to tune
