I plan on getting a Yank TT 2600 Stall Converter. Do I need to tune this w/ LS1 Edit? If I don't get it tuned w/ LS1 Edit will it mess up or something?
Also, would it work good w/ the B&M Supercooler that tbyrne offers. It would fit, right?

You dont need tuning for the converter. It will drive and lock up the same as the stock converter. However with a looser converter you will be more noticable when it locks up. So you could change the lockup speed to fit you driving preference if you want but it is not necessasary.
Yes, It is a good idea to go ahead and get a suplimental tranny cooler for the converter. I have a supercooler on mine and it works just fine.

Change lock-up speed? You mean sooner than 2600 or how fast it literally locks up?
Didn't somebody have a SES light come on after installing a converter a few months ago?

the acutal mph that the converter goes into lockup. i.e. you truck currently locks the converter once you reach 40mph dependant on throttle position. With edit you could raise that to 50, 60 or whatever so you could keep the stall up under light throttle if you wanted.

Oh, I know what you're saying. Yeah, right now my converter isn't locking. At around 40mph my truck kinda vibrates. Do you know what mph the 2600 would lock if I didn't get it tuned? Thanks for the help!

Stock tunning locks the converter at 40 under light trottle. There is TCC vs RPM table in you computer that determines lockup. It is all electronic and is not dependant on the converter.
