Default LS1 edit problems. "Comm err"

I am just now having edit problems. I click "Program File" and it attempts to "connect to pcm" but it cannot find it for some reason. It sends out a "Comm err" and tries to reconnect - but to no success ever.

What's the deal? Does anyone have any ideas?

Check your cigarette lighter fuse. If it's blown it'll mess up the OBDII port.

Next time you get that error ... unplug it from the port and stick it back in.

Also make sure nothing else is running that will use a comm port, HotSynch sfotware, EFILive / ATAP, etc.

It connected when I used AutoTap though ...so shouldn't it connect when I use edit? I'll check those things anyway and try unpluging it and pluging it back in I guess.
That would just really suck if it connected, then half way through programing disconnected

Make sure ATAP was closed. It will hold the comm port to itself as long as its open.
