Kinda like the Hypetech Programmer but quite a bit more versatile. It is a bit complicated but once you use it a while its easy. The program runs on a laptop instead of a standalone hand-held programmer like the HPP3. Its not really cheap either.

Check it out here <a href="http://www.carputing.com" target="_blank"><font color="red">www.carputing.com<!--color--></font></a>

For a single vin locked cable it is $550 and that includes the software.

It lets you change everything the other programmers do and stuff you'll probably never fool with.

You'll also need a laptop to use it or I guess a desktop would work if you had it in the garage or something.

It is not nearly as easy as plugging in a programmer like a HPP3 or Predator but, it is manageable with a little guidance from people who haved used it.

Personally I would not get a predator and DEFINITELTY go with LS1edit. I fried and completely destroyed my 2003 GMC's ECU/PCM using a custom file from my predator (which was sent to me by Diablosports tech people!)

I was without transportation for a week while the dealer waited for the part, which was luckily covered under warranty. Anyway unless you want to risk frying your computer DONT get a predator.

once agian i would like to let you know that you can toast your PCM with edit, several people have done it. if you loose your conection during a program it may lock up your PCM for good and your truck wont run.

like others have said, hpp3 or one of the other programers for a bolt on truck or edit for bigger projects like blower or heads and cam.

Im sure thats possible BUT my main point is that a custom written tune from Diablosport CAN fry your trucks ECU. THats exactly what destroyed mine.

I had been using my diablo for a few months with NO problems and I really liked it. Then I got a custom file from diablo that somehow was corrupted! After attempting to install it on my truck the problems began.

I just think relying on someone else to tune your engine through the internet/email is a risky proposition. One that can be avoided with LS1edit.

The predator also is very limited as far as programming goes.
