carputing.com is the only place you can get it from.
$550 fot the first vehicle
250 for each additional vehicle added to your cable of up to 3.
I'm pretty sure you can have any LS1 based vehicle on your cable.
but it is nothing like the HPPIII. there are no yes and no questions.
it very technical, and you can screw things up if your not careful.
but it is nice to have.
there is also the HPTUNERS program out now. I havnt looked
into this one but it is supposed to be as good as edit, plus having data logging capabilities

EDIT is licensed per VIN number. You can find more information out about it at www.carputing.com

I would look into HPTuners though if I were shopping for a new setup. It includes logging as well as the tuner in a package deal for about the same as EDIT. It will let you do any vehicle of the same type (year, make and model).

With EDIT you will also need either EFILive or Autotap.

I guess if you had edit, and you where the only one on it then you could sell the last to spots to somebody, and sell the program to them to, and then turn around and get the HPtuner deal??????

Is it worth buying HPtuners if you already have a tune from allen? Is there any chance of getting more power out of your truck?

Good luck .... there doesn't seem to be any resale value for the cable with empty slots on it.

Allen uses EDIT ... the only benefit to buying the software and having Allen's tuning is if you want to adjust the shift tables and other small things yourself. If you have your own version of EDIT, you can get tunes from Allen via email instead. That's a big price to pay for the small convenience it would give you. It would also be a whole nother learning curve too.

I was thinking of getting hptuners because I want to do an intercooler install on my whipplechargered 4.8 soon. I thought it might benefit tuning the intercooler for max timing and max power.
