Default LS Blocks...

Ok, I hear a lot about the LS blocks, and I thought I was staying up on them but apparently not. Some of these blocks that I'm hearing about I have no idea what their characteristics are. Can someone please help me? What are the names of all these LS blocks and their characteristics?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine

those are all the aluminum blocks.
Then the Iron blocks are categorized as Vortec Gen III / Gen IV

pre Gen III are just vortec style and not LSX based blocks. Big Blocks would also be excluded.
