Anyone know what the warranty info is on those? Do they come with the electronics also? That would be sweet to get a warrantied drivetrain brand new from gm ready to run like that.

I believe everything from GMPP is 12 months/12,000 miles.

Hmm. That's not that great. I'll just stick to looking for a good pullout deal from a jy.

I got an offer for an 03 escalade engine which is a new take out, had
less than 10 miles on it, probaly a vehicle that was damaged in transit. the thing with this engine is that they are selling the Engine (LQ9), transmission(4L65E), and the
Transfer case togather in this one. the price for all of it is $5500 shipping not included.
I DON"T HAVE ENOUGH CASH............. DAMMIT

I wouldn't be too upset about losing out on that deal if I were you. I guess it's ok if you need the tcase but pretty much any jy on car-part will sell you a low mileage lq9/4l65e combo for 4-5k. I'm hoping to find that $1500 deal like Parish, though I would settle for a nice low mileage lq9/4l65e combo for around $2500. I've found a couple for that but they were snatched up pretty quickly.

So the only things changed in the lq9 to lq4 is rods and pistons right.

i dont really see why you guys are worried so much about the strengh of the rods. look at parish's trucks with stock bottmm end. if those lq4 rods can hold up to a 10 second run. then why would any of us slow pokes even worry about it? I got me a lq4 cuz of the lower compression to go with my blower and high boost.
