Default lq9

Have a lq9, I had a few questions, I was wondering what parts would cost, main bearings and rings??? The motor is in good running condish with 130 k, just while its out should I go ahead and do that ????? Also has aluminium 317s and I was curious onto how close I could get em to flow like the the 243s ? Or would it be cheaper to just buy so 243 s? Im going to have it spec for a cam, and later do an intake job, comment lemme know what u have in mind

Dude... WTF did I tell you last night LOl.... Out of the box, a 317 flows damn near (if not) exactly what a 243 does, the difference is chamber size... You need to find that thread in the Internal mods section that covers stock head casting info.

As far as your rings and bearings go, dont get fancy, stock replacement stuff works fine with stock gaps, tolerances etc. These things live for 300K plus a lot of times with just regular maintenance. Don't overthink it. We need to pop the pan and heads off that thing and have a look around and see what you're working with. Who knows, you may not need to touch it. Fresh oil pump, timing set, cam/lifters/pushrods/springs and put that baby in...
