Default LQ4 with shaved heads

If I shave a set of 317's .030 and home P&P them, will I be pretty close to a LQ9?

BTW Im also adding a 3000 stall and hopefully a 218/224 .562/.568 cam

No Shorter Push Rods Just Put .030 Shim Under Rack That Holds The Rockers.

Shorter rods or shims and use some thinner head gaskets. Itll put you close.

I shaved .030 0ff and used the felpro 1041 gaskets which are about .41 thick, I think that when I calculated everything it put me a little close to 10:1 I think I had about 9.9X dont remember but it will out you close. you will need to run some shorter pushrods .735.

Ill need shorter pushrods with the cam? When I did my first cam swap with the stock heads it sounded like a Singer, when I did the second cam and shaved heads the noise went away

Youll actually want a bit longer for the cam. But since you want to mill 30 thou down, that will make up for the smaller cam base circle. There are calculators on the net for figuring proper rod length.
