The only differences between the LQ4 & LQ9 are the dished(LQ4) v. flat top(LQ9) pistons and the rods on the LQ9 are thicker/stronger. If you're gonna bore it out anyway then it doesn't matter. You will pick the rotating assembly based on the bore and compression you want. The block is the same on both motors. All your accessories will swap right over. You should just be looking for a bare block so you don't waste $$ on parts you wont use.

408 is 4.030" bore and 4.00" stroke and the 418 is 4.030" bore and 4.10" stroke.
