Default The LQ4 and 6lbs of Boost!

The LQ4 and 6lbs of Boost is screaming big time. For anyone who wants a daily driver and a truck that absolutely kicks *** the 6.0 swap, mild cam and blower is great way to go! The problem is once you've got the performance bug you never stop. Now im looking to design an intercooler for the KB. Has anyone ran more than 6lbs of boost non intercooled on a 6 litre. It is still frikkin cold up here in Canada so my ECTs are typically 170ish and IATs are 115 + whatever the SC cranks up under boost. Definitely worried about the warm weather coming up. Any thoughts?

Hit up the super market and stock up on hotdogs, hamburgers and buns... Ohh and I think Grippy says KC Masterpiece smells the best when making a 1/4mile pass and BBQing on that Lean Mean Grillin Machine ya'll call a Radix. :p

Glad you're lovin it though. The TQ must feel awesome in a dialy driver.

Congrates on getting blown. I hear just about everyone likes it.

Sounds like your logging so you will know soon enough. Maybe a little methanol mist when the boost is up if it takes a while to figure the IC out.

F8L Z71 - he doesn't have a radish lean mean grillin machine he has a Kenne Bell greaseless grill endorsed by George Foreman. And F8L would you please keep the staging area blown clean between runs and make sure the Goodyear Blimp stays inflated.

Jamesbond2509 - the truck sounds like a lot of fun, enjoy.

Ha Ha! The torque is awesome. When I first fired up the 6.0 two weeks ago the bigger puller was only pushing 3lbs of boost. Who would have imagined 3 more pounds (now at 6lbs) making such a big difference in low end torque. Now I have to find a track around here.

Hey James Bond, I am in the same boat. Installed mine yesterday and I have the same pulley as you did. I am only making 3lbs boost also, I have been trying to get ahold of you too see what pulley you found for 6psi? I need to get that this week.

the 3 3/4 pulley was a tad under 6 PSI around 5K. I would suggest that you get both the 3 3/4 and the 3 5/8 so you dont have to order pulleys again if the 3 3/4 doesnt get you all the way there. Good Luck!

Please confirm this with someone more knowledgeable than me but my guess would be 9 or 10 pounds of boost. I think that they run the STS turbos to 12-13 pounds of boost on a boost controller, meth injection and tuning.
