Does anybody know the horsepower rating for the LQ4 and the LQ9?

The lq9 is 345 but the lq4 depends on what you get the motor out of.If it's a truck they are rated for 315hp.If you get it from a van it's rated for 300hp.

thats not true, the reason the lq4 has different ratings is simply do to the different intakes and exhausts on the truck and van. thats why they differ, its the same motor in both vehicles. lq9 is 345 like stated.

I know it's the same motor wiseguy.The orginal poster asked for the hp ratings.So i told him what the factory rating are from GM.
Also you might wanna take a look at the rating from GM.The reason they rate the hp differant is noise emmisons and they don't rev the van motors as high.Therefore they show lower numbers.

That's odd. My LQ4 makes 500hp or so at the crank
