Default LPP Long Tubes and ORY 2 into 1 into 2?? Or ??

This week I'm gonna hot rod my motor with a Comp custom cam, (.212/.218 @.050, .557/.562 on a 112.0 + 2 LSA), Peak Perf. rad ported OEM man and TB. With this engine build will I be ok with the 2 into 1 into 2 Flow Master 40 or could I expect better better performance with "True dual exhaust?" I'm gonna run it as is with a Black Bear tune specific to this application, initially as it's plug and play.

Modding the exhaust to be true duals can be done by me in my shop in a wink.
Would prefer to keep in cab drone to a minimum but desire a bad azz performance exhaust note when the loud pedal is applied.

Looking for proven results and advice without a whole lot of trial and error as stainless mufflers and mods can get expensive. Would like to get it right the first time.

Thanks!

5.3? 6.0? A 3" single exhaust should be plenty for what you are wanting to do..flowmasters kill performance and will drone like crazy...go with a straight through design muffler (magnaflow, borla etc...)

Performance results are dictated by much more than muffler choice when you are creating a custom exhaust system. You won't lose performance if you choose the correct Flowmaster muffler for your application. The amount of drone that you experience will depend on which series of Flowmaster muffler that you are running, pipe size, crossover, etc. Give our technical support line a call at (707) 544-4761 and provide the customer service agent with all of the specs of your build. They will be able to give you the best possible recomendation for your truck so that you can get your exhaust system done right the first time! Good luck!
