Default low oil pressure?

Ok guys I have a fresh 6 liter that only has about 300 miles on it. Today I was driving along and noticed that the oil pressure was like 20(usually 40 or better), I kept an eye on it and when I came to a stop sign it fell to around 12 and stayed there. I flopped the trottle slightly and it went a little above 20 and fell to 0 for a second and then popped back up to around 20 the highest it gets is about 30 taking off, then stays at 20 cruising. Not sure what the problem could be other than the oil pump, but I dont want to think that with so few miles. By the way it is an LS6 oil pump. Any input would be appreciated.

I'd check it with a manual gauge first to verify that you're getting a correct reading, and if it is in fact low, there could be a problem with the oil pump or the pickup tube o-ring. The o-ring could be pinched, or may be a little too small if you have the blue o-ring in there. There's a red o-ring that fits better than the blue one that's offered.
