Gas companies deliver man, hence the markup.

If I can get jetA1 dropped at cache points all over Hudson Bay, you can get a big tank delivered down your fancy asphalt road!

You could be a gearheads hero! And yes TPB style would be mandatory.

Seriously though, we used to have a manual pump 400gal above ground tank at a few remote fire bases, and the gas company gladly came and pumped it full if you paid your bills on time.

do some data logging and add fuel and pull timing as needed. also there is a fitch fuel catalyst that claims higher octane numbers.

I know that this is a little off topic, but I would get some toluene or race gas and mix your own higher octane fuel. Do an online search as mixing in 5-10% will help your octane dramatically. A 55 gallon drum or two would probably do you well for a few years and you could even make some money in the process by selling it to others.

I'm not sure I can find race gas around here, but what about avgas?

We've got an Air Force base here and is also the location for the town's airport, the supplier of most of that fuel is also the same supplier for the regular pump gas as well. So it might be possible to find or I might end up at a dead end.

I would set it up to run on whatever fuel is available.

Toluene sounds like a reasonable thing to get around here, as it can boost octane in the right mixture.

It, however, will be hard to find, something I cannot store here in large quantities and I have nowhere warm to store it, just a shed.

So it sounds like I'm sticking with 87 Octane for now, but will be researching the $hit out of my options in the next couple days. Seeing what's available, what can be shipped in, where to find it and how much of a premium am I gonna end up paying.

No avgas unless you are catless. Its 100 octane and has lots of lead.

Will probably shorten the life of O2's dramatically as well.

This is an issue I have struggled with since moving to Alaska. We can only get 90 octane which is better than what you have of course, but I was running over 25psi boost in my jetta. Water/meth injection is your friend! I know it is not common for N/A vehicles but snow performance does make an N/A kit. I have successfully run it on a 13.5-1 compression VR6. Another option would be Torco. It is pricey at 20 dollars per 32 ounce can, but one can will bump a 20 gallon tank 4 points in octane. This isn't cheap octane boost from the gas station I have run real 100 octane race tunes using this product. Either way I hope you figure out a solution, crap fuel is like wearing lead boots!

I forgot about water/meth, I even have a used pump and nozzle from an old project, so that works out in my favor.

Thanks for the input, It seems I have a lot of thinking to do on this, plus stop being a hermit and find some people looking for high octane fuel too. I've got to throw all my options in the ring, because I'm getting anxious to start putting down more power with this LQ4.
