Default looking to do a head and cam pack with magnacharger radix...

Im looking to do the following:

CNC-Ported LS1 Cylinder Heads:
Precision CNC-ported chambers and ports ensure maximum flow, velocity, and swirl.
Manley stainless steel 2.020" intake/1.575" exhaust valves feature a high-performance multi-angle valve job.
Milled 63.5cc combustion chambers raise compression ratio to 10.7:1.
Heads are assembled with all new hardware, including:
SLP Titanium Valve-Spring Retainers
SLP High-Performance Valve Springs
GM valve seals and keepers
SLP High-Performance LS1 Camshaft:
Engineered to provide the best possible combination of performance and drivability.

Camshaft Specs: Valve Lift Duration Duration@.050
in: .571" 281º 228º
ex: .571" 281º 228º

Centerline - 112º
Lobe Separation - 112º

Do I need to do a forged piston setup? and if so what should I do?

Then after this is all done, the magnacharger radix.

Do you think this will work. This is a daily driver and its everydayyyyyyy.

Thanx guys.

i would not raise the compression at all . With a supercharger set up you want to keep it down. I am planning a head and cam package with my radix wet up and I will be running about 13 lbs of boost daily drivin. The heads and cam will make the boost more efficiant, that way you can run the high boost without problems. Only advice I can give you is do not up your compression ratio.

Yeah you would want to lower compression, which will offset the extra heat generated by the blower which leads to pre-combustion.

If you have a 5.3 motor, I'm guessing the stock compression is lower than 10.1, the pistons are probably in the hole a bit? Unmilled LS1 heads are 67ccs and 5.3's are 62cc so you could drop about half a point in compression that way.

With a safe tune I bet the stock bottom end could go 100K. (just my opinion and not a fact)

Does anyone know the casting number for LS1 heads?

I would think a dual pattern cam would be better with a SC setup. 9.0:1 compression and crank the boost up. Add an alky kit and run even more boost.

I would not use your stock 5.3 heads, they have 62cc combustion chambers. You want BIGGER combustion chambers to decrease your compression.

You would need 99-03 LS1 heads to work with your stock 5.3 valve covers.

Or find a set of 6.0 heads which are 70cc's and that's even better.
