cat-backs are a waste of money. Weld in a muffler of your choice and be done with it.

I've had two Magnaflows and one Borla muffler, and the Borla's do burn out over time and as a result, get noticeably louder. I just replaced my Borla muffler last weekend with a 22" Magnaflow because it got too loud for me after 4 years of use and 40k miles.

I have heard that this is because Borla uses fiberglass as its sound deadener and Magnaflow uses "stainless mesh wrap and acoustical fiber fill to deliver that smooth, deep tone. Mufflers are packed tight with this acoustical material unlike some others' products to ensure long life and no sound degradation over time." (taken from their website) I'm sticking to Magnaflow from now on. For a cat back, Corsa seems to have a large number of happy customers on pt.net board.

+1! Saves you a bundle that you can use on other mods. Stock piping is plenty big already.
