Default which longtubes????

Ok, so my next step is to get longtubes for my truck. Its an 01 ecsb silvy 1500 4.8 2wd. I dont need 1000 dollar longtubes. I see some of you run ebay headers. Whats the best bang for the buck basically and how hard is the install? thanks

Get the stainless ebay knockoff LT headers if they are still in stock. They are like $330 iirc. They updated the design and now is 1 7/8".

+1. The new design also has a 3" collector/y pipe set up. Heres a link.

Use the front 2 and get the others tuned out. Are you required to have emissions? May have to run a catted y pipe. As far as install, its pretty easy. Anywhere from 4-8 hours with help. Hardest part for me was removing the old without trying to cut. Cut anyway. And maneuvering the headers in to place. Make use of the install link that rel3rd posted and you'll be good.

but if i weld in 2 more bung holes and put the o2s in, will that be fine? If i had the diablosport hand held tuner, could i tune it out that way? I have a lift at home so the install should be pretty easy i hope with the lift and i got a giant sawzsal, so i will cut it and i live on long island, but i have a hookup so its fine to pass inspection

Using them would prevent any codes. Are you planning egr delete? I just remembered i had to hack mine up cuse i didnt have penetrating oil to break the bolts. Just put a rubber stopper in it and works fine.

Lift would make it a piece of cake. Standing is better than laying when it comes down to it.

My eBay LT's came with 4 o2 bungs in it. And header fitment and install was a breeze. Took me and a friend about an hour and a half.
