Default Long tubes with tvs1900

I currently have a stock lq4, with shorty headers, nelson tune, magnaflow, 35" tires 4.88's and 2800 stall. I have a tvs 1900 on the way. How much of a difference will a set of long tubes make with the supercharger?

They will uncork it a good amount... especially considerign the collector size and mid piep diameter will be significantly larger.

How much boost do you hope to make?

I'm going to start at 6 and maybe work up to 10ish. Depending on how it feels. This thing was a dog when I got it with 35's and 4.10's. The converter, tune and gears have helped a bunch. The collectors on the shorties definitely tiny looking c9mpared to the rest of the exhaust.

I have ARH longtubes (Jet-Hot coated) on my 5.3 4x4 ex-cab with a TVS1900 (8lbs), 2800 stall with a level 3 Performabuilt transmission, K&N in the stock airbox, Blackbear tuned, 3.73 gears on 20" wheels with 275/60/20 tires and it is pretty stout. It pulled 400+ Hp and over 450 torque at the wheels on the "mobile" dyno at my local auto parts store.

I have the problem of always changing more than one thing at a time so that the results aren't verifiable. One of the few things that I did by itself was to install headers. They made a big difference. Vortec350ss's description of uncorking it is on the money. That was the first time that I understood what the old timers meant by "it freed up a lot of power". Uncorked, free up power, etc. are things that you only know about after doing them. You think your motor runs good before such a mod, and after the mod you have the sense that your motor was previously being held back.
I was comfortably running 42 lb. injectors before the headers, and the headers maxed them out.

Nice! How's that drive? Your set up sounds close to what I'm going to be running. I have more gear and cubes but you have lighter shorter tires. I'm guessing my truck will run similar to yours.

Lq9, 9.5cr, 218/224 cam.

Made 482hp/463tq at 8psi. It was the new Whipple 2.3.

It was through a 60e, 2800 stall, 30in tire and 4.10s.

It is a blast! Very subtle when being conservative, but when you get on the go fast pedal...hang the heck on, and the headers light up the sound. The neighbors hate me and the burn outs!

Could you spin your 33's before you added the supercharger?

Not easily.... but now, if I turn off traction control it will spin them through 3rd gear.
