I currently have shorty headers and am wanting To get a set of long tubes and am wondering if ill need a retune ? If so what harm will driving it with out a tune do

 

You will need a tune to get full benefit I put my lts on about a month ago and haven't gotten tuned yet. Ive put 1000 miles on it since, thee only problems are the engine light in my face and a slight ping under wot without 93 in the tank. it drives fine under normial driving. fuel mileage wise if I keep my foot outa it and drive like a sane person didn't loose much of anything.

 

No you will not need a retune, however it will take advantage of the long tubes for sure.

 

Vmax , wh would you have a ping ?

 

It's in the fuel. If i manage to get to the track this weekend it's getting 5 gallons of 110 vp on top of the 93
