Default Long tube egr question

I just noticed on my new Texas speed long tubes for my 2000 silerado 5.3 that they don't have the egr plug on the headers, what do I have to do with egr? And will my it hurt my truck to get rid of it? And is there a block off plate I can buy?

Dont forget about the plug for the intake. You can get these new from GM. I think it was like 10 bucks.
