Are you looking at the Eaton and Auburn electric lockers or just limited slips? I would say the Eaton Limited slip would be the best choice. A locker might be overkill to have to deal with the noise and such.

deff dont want electric, its a wee bit out of my budget, other then that thou everything else is up in the air, the truck has the factory locker option but it grenaded, and now i cant stand the punch and spin effect i got now, will a limited slip give the same traction perfromance as a locker?

A limited slip will give you two wheel power on take off the majority(almost all) of the time, but still be quiet and driveable in tight situations and cornering. You will have a better unit than the G80 it cam with. Also, the Detroit locker functions different than the factory locker- it is stronger but noisier and less transparent.

I would give a hard look at the detroit truetrac. Looks to be a really good piece and heard guys on here that really like them. If not it I would go with the eaton.

I'd say go with a detriot if you have one of these your garented to have both tires spinning every time. and it doesn't make all that much noise and it doesn't really hinder your steering. pluss it doesn't have clutch packs that you can toast.
