locked up....

Default locked up....

Can't get my 6.0 to turn. Bought it in february its been sittin the junkyard said it ran an all was good now i try to turn it with 7ft of cheater bar an still a no go had no oil in it. put 1 an a half cans of blaster in it let it sit over night an it is still locked up.

did you tell the junk yard what happened? did it have an intake on it?? sounds like water got in the cylinders and built up rust. pull a head and see if im right or wrong.

Came complete. Ya they said it ran b4 they put it up for sale. Pulled the plugs the ones on the right side had the platinum gone on the plugs a looks like water got on them. Left side plugs looked fine.

That sucks. Does the junkyard offer an exchange for bad parts you buy from them? Probably past the time though.

They only offer 30 days. What would cause it to do this?

water in the plugs like from a blown head gasket. pull that head and look. head gaskets are cheap, plus id upgrade to ARP head bolts even if i didnt have a need to pull the heads.

buy some Kroil and spray on the heads, i got a froze up 4.8 loose with that stuff. i think if it has too much build up you should either buy a new short block or take it to the machine shop and let them bore it just enough to clean it up or just bore it to a 370 and run a descent piston.

I heard soaking it in diesel works. Its at the mechanics im not capable of doin the swap. Sucks i gotta pay some1 to do it an im worried labor is gona kill me. I hope it will break loose without having to break into it. An cost me more then it already is.

labor is gonna kill you straight up i never heard diesel but hey try it. i say pull the heads and see how much cral is in there before they try and "make it rotate" if its really bad then you'll have to punch it out to a 370 (.030" over)
go pull them yourself, a 1/2" ratchet and extension with a 15mm/10mm socket/8mm sockets can knock that out

Well im 21 an putting most of my cash in the swap an i can't afford this thing to need extra/ more work. Its my dd an i was suppose to get it back this weekend an now i may need a new motor rly sucks srry im ranting was just stoked bout havin the 6.0 now i dk wtf to do.

pull it apart, if its too bad sell it and buy a new short block
