Default It Lives!

For those that don't know. I swapped out my 5.3 for a 6.0.

Fired it up today. Cranked about 5 seconds a roared to life. Not driven it yet. Gotta get some power steering fluid and the hood on it.

Valves/rockers sounded horrible the first few minutes. After idling while I filled up the fluids and such it had quited down. Vacuum was a solid 18 inches sitting at idle.

Tickled pink so far. Can't wait to drive it.

Congrats! Get her all back together and let us know how the power feels. Will you have to do your own retuning?

I'll log for a while. Change anything that is drastically out. Keep it safe. Plan is to get it to someone who knows what they are doing for a dyno tune. Many have told me I shouldn't have to change anything.

congrats on the upsize
how bad was the valvetrain noise? was there enough assembly lube on the cam? did you pour a little oil on the heads and such?... I'm sure it wasn't harmful though right?

congrats again

did you do anything to the 6.0 before you put it in? Was there anything that stuck out in your mind about the swap that you would warn others of? Did you swap out the rod bolts? Stock intake? Spill it
