I was under the impression that you lose power unless the motors built specifically to run propane(not sure what kinda build)

jesus christ, who`s paying 500 bucks for a fuel pump. i guess you`re talking about the whole assembly... from the factory.

A couple of years ago I was quoted $1500 from a dealer here.
Of course...I do it myself...but...an ACDelco unit is around $500

With the older 'vapour' injection systems..yes.
With the new 'liquid' injection...you actually gain power and mileage is only down ~5%

Doing a search on-line about it, i am mostly seeing things from australia and the UK. Didnt see much, if any, from the US.

my old vapor style LPG got roughly the same mileage as gasoline @ 9.5:1 compression

seems to me LPG likes 13:1 and AFR of 17

I believe stoich AFR for LPG is 15.5.

I'm not sure of HP levels.
I'm still looking into this.
I have seen that they are doing LS3's and turbo'd 6's at present.
I rang the Australian LPG Warehouse last night and was told I'll need a 'universal kit' which won't be available for another 6 months.
