Well, after careful consideration, I went out and bought the Comp 212/218 525-532 114LSA to be safe. The LPE GT7 was a second choice but I couldnt find anyone who has had experience with this. I was also concerned that the low overlap would cause issues with running pump gas. So now my 6.0 swap can continue as planned.

Would definitely be interesting if someone can share their experience on the GT7.

Wow, I cant believe Im reviving this thread from 2005 - I went with the 212-218 and blew the internals after 100000 miles - Now Im going with the other choice which is the LS9 cam - any words of wisdom or experience from those who have tried the GT7 cam. Technically, I think I will lose some torque down low due to the high LSA, But I also think there will be higher cylinder pressure to make up the difference since the boost comes on off idle. The powerband will be extended past 6000rpm. The 212-218 came on early but by 5800 it was done.
Please feel free to chime in! Install is next Tuesday so I can still change my plan.

Yea when I was reading the beginning of this thread all I could think was that the cam sounded extremely similar to the Zr1 cam...
As far as boost it will be nice, but it will still be a stock cam from a GM vehicle, so it won't have any exotic characteristics besides working well with your boost.
Hope your install sails smoothly!

To get an idea of how the GT7 worked with roots style boost, you don’t have to look any further than KySilverado’s posts. He ran this very camshaft and his truck performed very well.
