Line locks.

I dont trust my e-brake. Anyone ever intall one? I know the F-body guys do it, so it must work with ABS. I want to use this as a parking brake on boat ramps, when I want to get out and take a look while I am hooking up a trailer myself. Things like that. Not for racing or burnout purposes. Think this is a viable option?

errr....I'm not sure they will work on the back brakes as effectively as on the front due to weight distribution (that is where you want it right??), other than that it should work fine if you can find one that will work with the high pressure that the ABS pump puts out (most won't)

well you could always lock it in 4 wd and put it in park with the parking brake on. No offense but your parking brake will hold as long as it is well maintained. I have loaded 20K+ lbs on a trailer attaced to a duramax and the truck with brake on not in 4wd did not BUDGE. I understand your concer being on a boat ramp and all but I think your current service brakes will work fine.
Just wondering doesn't the car have to be running for the line lock to work?
Edit- Does your truck have hydroboost brakes? does the camaro have hydroboost brakes? I wonder if that may play a part.

the car doesnt have to be running for a line lock to work. you just have to pump the brakes a few times to build a good amount of pressure, then turn it on and then you can let off and it will hold. it doesnt matter what your braking system consists of, it will work
