limited slip not working

A cousin of mine bought a 00 5.3 ext silverado, he had been using it for 3 months and it would always pull with both tires. Now all of a sudden one of them is not spinning!! did something break and if so how hard is it to fix???

How is it going David? Is this the stock posi unit? My Auburn on the 01 Ext Cab for some reason stopped working after 10 months.
