Default likelyhood of 12's NA?

i'd love to do a 408 but its not in the budget right now. i can pick up a decent lq9 for about $1500. i want to go all out on the top end; heads, cam, ls6 manifold, TB, etc. i have an extended cab. the plans i had for my 5.3 wouldve put me close, but i dont think anyone has hit 12's NA in extended cab. plus i want to do 100 shot in the 6.0. thoughts?

also, what cams and heads would be recommended, i know there are several out there, but can someone point me in the right direction? i have a yank 3000 stall that i dont really want to replace, but wouldnt be the end of the world if i had to, to get what i want. looking to build a NA monster with stock bottom end.

David, did you make 12's? My brain is scattered lately, congrats.
It does take a bit of work to get a 5000lb truck into the 12's. Good luck on your quest!

adrenalinep is the only ECSB to do 12s in a 5.3 N/A so far, hopefully until sunday when I go to the track.

Full bolt on 6L with cam, gears, & converter should get you there.

i have stock g80 with 3.73. eventually will go with true-trac.
this setup will take some time to come up with the funds, but i will be buying the dynatech setup with cats.

full bolt on lq9 with long tubes, how to you think my transmission will fare with the mods ive done to it?. i will keep 20% torque management.

eventually will do 100 shot, but will beef up the rearend and buy new flt trans first.

I would definately skip the dynatechs and go pacesetters unless you find a better deal on them than the pacesetters. Any reason for cats? Just take them off and tune them out. If you want to keep it quiet put a BIG magnaflow on it. I'm on a stock trans besides converter with 25% tq management still in & almost 95k on it with a 6L, almost full bolt-on, & cam.

leaving 20% TM in isn't going to really help prevent trans failure by a significant amount.

if it happens it happens...I have a full-bolt on 5.3 with heads/cam/stall and just passed 103k on my stock tranny with every little bit of TM removed.
