Default lightning runs a 9.88, also thinking about crashing the lightning get together

dont know all the details but johny lightning ran a 9.88 at 133 today, first gen 2 lighting in the 9's. 1.45 60'

someone at a local car show today mentioned a lightning get together in topeka later this summer. got me thinking how much fun it would be to try and make the show. thats prety close. anyone know how those things work? would they let a chevy in? would i need to get someone to invite me? it sure would be alot of fun, maybe blacksheep and c3c5 could go too

i think they only have a hand full of trucks running 10's, i could probably get the required safety equipment by then.

from what i am seeing they are prety picky about it being a lightning get together. it sounds like they just this year are allowing the harlys in with the lightnings.

doesn't look good for geting a chevy in but ya never know. might just need to find the right person to ask. i wouldn't be looking to win any catigories or anything, just go down and check it out and make a few runs.

Having blown up a low 12 sec L before personally, yes, his motor is built, along with a built trans, large blower, nitrous, every bolt on imagineable. I believe he was one of the first to get into the 10s with no nitrous, so the n2o just shot him into the 9s. If I had to guess I think were talking ~900-1k rwhp to get a 5k lb. 2wd vehicle into the 9s

I might also add, parish's truck is more impressive IMO - or should I say the stock bottom end 6.0 doing 10's

I dont see why they'd be all butthurt on letting a Chevy run in their crowd. Its not like it's going to make them look anyworse when that gold bowtie goes flyin past @ over 120mph .
