lightened rods?

i was wondering if anyone has had there stock rods lightened by the machine shop. any recommendation on this anyone?

I don't think so and for what reason?? To rev a tad faster??? It would take away to much of the structural integrity of them, to be reliable, not to mention it would probly cost a decent amount..
