So did the sea foam help it? Where do I get it and what does it do to the engine to make that pinging stop?

Not that I could tell. I mentioned the SF because it is supposed to be a good fuel system cleaner. A cleaner can allegedly clean carbon deposits from the back of the intake valve and perhaps the combustion chamber thereby eliminating a possible cause of pinging.

You can get it at auto parts stores and even at the local Wal Mart super center. BG 44K is supposed to be a good one;it may be better than Sea Foam.
