Default lifters drove me crazy!! help!

okay so my 2000 sierra z71 acquired a bad lifter. my mechanic buddy said its common and i can keep driving it with out to much worry. my thing is its freaking annoying! sooooo i have came to a few options and need some help deciding. my goal is to not spend a arm and a leg but still go down a decent path. this truck will be listed for sale in my area once the paints done so i don't want to go to crazy. but if i don't sell it ima keep it and start going for a little more power.

option A) have him pull the heads and put all new lifters $500

option B) get a whole new engine with 80-85k for $600-700 and have him swap it in for $500

option C) my buddy was telling me maybe look into some 6.0 heads for this and get some better air flow out of it $???

or option D) mayb pull off the heads myself and get them port and polished depending on the price then have them put back on all rebuilt $???

on top of doing all this I'm looking at another 250ish for some long tube headers. well help me out with your opinions peeps. if you know any prices I'm not sure of feel free to chime in. locating in the detroit metro area
