Default Lifter recommendations

This may have been covered before and I'm sorry if it has. I am looking for some recommendations, with part numbers if possible, for replacement lifters that I could put in my truck when I'm doing my cam swap. the truck has a stock 5.3l. the reason I'm removing the heads is because I have manifold bolts broke off in the both heads and want to get them removed, so I figured now is as good a time as any(both of the ones that are closest to the firewall are broken).

So any help on lifters would be appreciated.

Most guys go with the LS7 lifters. They are cheap and work well. Get a pushrod length checker and make sure you get the correct length pushrods as well.

Yeah, LS7 lifters and new lifter trays would be the way to go. Unless he's changing the cam or milling the heads, stock length pushrods should be fine.

Then get a pushrod checker like Doc said and invest in hardened pushrods.
